I popped in here for lunch with a few friends, before heading off to a Springsteen gig at Wembley.
It was a nice relaxed atmosphere and we had a great time. The food was excellent and I certainly got to the stage where I couldn't eat anymore ... which takes some doing.
The service goes something like this. Once you are seated at your table, order your drinks and then head up to the salad and side dish bar. Then, back at your table, one of the many waiters comes around with a skewer of meat which he carves and invites you to take.
He then goes away and come back a little bit later with another skewer ... and so forth and so on. It’s then up to you as to how much meat you can eat.
You get handed a type of beer mat which is green on one side and red on the other.
The green signals that you are open to be served more meat from the skewer, and red means that you are full to bursting.
Needless to say I wasn’t the first or the last one of our party of four to red.
Favorite Dish: We went for the full BBQ lunch, eat as much as you can.
Excellent salads and other Brazialin dishes.
The cuts of meat are not the best ...but they do keep them coming and you not paying the prices you do at Hawksmoor.
This is a very special restaurant. It is amazingly good. How good? Well I knowingly went way over my business meal allowance to eat and drink here. This is London’s only authentic Brazilian ‘Churrascaria de Rodizio’. Churrascaria (pronounced shoe-hoss-korea) translates as barbecue in Portuguese. Rodizio means rotating which relates to the Passadors (meat carvers) move from table to table slicing different cuts of meat from skewers. Just keep your plate empty! You can go to the exotic salad bar and hot entrée buffet to get something to accompany all the meat they will bring you. On the way to and from your table you will get a close-up view of the meats being roasted to perfection.
Their wide selection of meats include: lamb, beef (several different cuts), pork, chicken thighs, chicken wings and sometimes Brazilian specialities like chicken hearts.
Unlike one Brazilian restaurant I ate at (in Brazil!), The Passadors are always out and about serving succulent meats. No one goes hungry here!
THEY HAVE 3 FANTASTIC LOCATIONS IN LONDON!
Meat, meat and more meat! I enjoyed some salad from the amazing salad bar then got about 5 sauces from the side and waited for all the different cuts of meat to be brought to the table. I also enjoyed a few Brahma beers from Brazil to wash it all down. You can add BBQ seafood (fish, tiger prawns, prawns & squid) for an extra fee, but you must allow 15-20 minutes for the seafood to be cooked.
Rodizio Rico is a "churrasco" style Brazilian steakhouse, meaning you pay a fixed price for all-you-can-eat salad bar and meat. You start off with the salad bar, which includes a number of exotic salads and appetizers such as fried bananas. When you get back to your table waiters will start coming by frequently with skewers of various meats from lamb to rump roast to chicken wrapped in bacon.
All in all if you go to this place, bring an empty stomach and a full wallet!!!
Favorite Dish: Make sure you ask the waiters for a particular meat called "picanha".
The restaurant serves great brazilian styled food in a traditional styled restaurant.
They serve a variety of Brazilian drinks including Caiparinha. The food is an all you can eat system where you can help yourself to the salad bar and some hot food including Feijoada. Then the waiter walks around with various cuts of BBQ meat on spits. He carves it at your table straight onto your plate.
The staff are friendly.
Favorite Dish: Although not quite as good as the same in Brazil, this restaurant is very nice. The food is all very tasty and the meat is great.
