A great Italian Restaurant, perfect for people in love. A very busy restaurant, the tables are close to eachother, wonderful staff and great service. This restaurant is a must for couples or people in love.
Favorite Dish: I took Lasanga with bechamel sauce (exellent) and my wife ate a pizza margarita. The Lasanga was outstanding.
Sure, this is not where Queen Elizabeth goes for dinner, but when you find yourself in London and want to eat *well*, and in the mood for some Italian food, Spaghetti House is what you want. There are many of them all around London, but different chefs, so if you order the same dish at a different SH location you may end up with something a lot different from what you expected. I've learned to trust the one on Duke Street, one block off from Oxford Street. Very cool and talkative Italian waiters/waitresses.
Favorite Dish: Spaghetti & Polpettine... good meat is something so rare in Europe, but here's some delicious tomato sauce and meat sauce over tasty (!) meatballs.
This was my first visit to any of the Spaghetti House restaurants. It was excellent, food good, staff professional and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Favorite Dish: as the name suggests Spaghetti - although do try more than the bolagnaise variety.
Yes it is a chain, but a darn good one.
I prefer it to "Bella Pasta" by a long shot.
The one on Duke Street is the one I frequent when in London. It is a stones throw from shopping on Oxford Street or the Marriott Grovesnor Square where I often stay.
Favorite Dish: The Bruschetta is a great starter, bread not too toasty, just enough garlic and oil, tasty tomatoe cubes.
Any of the pasta items are wonderful and fresh. I had a great dish with a folded pasta, shrimp and zuchinni the last time I was in London, my husband likes their Ravioli Burro e Salvia . Once on a chilly winter day I had Saltimbocca, delious but certainly very high sodium. There is also a great chicken entree very much like chicken piccata served with yummy sauted potatoes, I have it often.
