A beautiful and lushly decorated place, with a happy, unpretentious feel. Gold buddhas, glossy tropical plants, brightly-lacquered furniture, with parasols hanging from the celing - sounds cluttered, I know, but it works. The waitresses are very helpful and charming - when we first came here one of them was being bullied by a really horrible customer, basically out for a free meal. I've felt sympathetic ever since. It is, deservedly, extemely busy on weekends and the food is extermely well-prepared and delicious even when under pressure.
You'll find it right on Crystal Palace's main street and there are several nice pubs, parks and interesting shops nearby.
Favorite Dish: Special favourites: I often have a starter of delicate vegtables in a really light rice batter with a delcious spicy dip, followed by the 'Thai' green curry (I am not very adventurous here and tend to fall back on comfort food). I also recommend all their puddings: there is a particularly wonderful concoction of mango and other exotic fruits served with ice cream and coulis - very healthy of course!
I used to go here a lot when visiting my grandfather - great ambience, tasty Thai food and super service. It tends to get really crowded on the weekends and as some of the tables are quite close together it is not ideal for a romantic twosome!
