Wagamama: Noodle shop, communal dining
Last visit June 2013 at Royal Festival Hall, South Bank
Wagamama is a popular chain of Japanese/noodle restaurants and with good reason-the food is fresh, well executed and served fast.
At three of the locations I've visited, Covent Garden, Fleet Street and Haymarket near Piccadilly Circus, the seating was in the basement and was at communal tables, the Earl's Court, South Bank and Kensington locations were also communal dining but upstairs. The noise level is pretty high so it's not a place to have an intimate conversation or linger over a meal.
Favorite Dish: The menu is Japanese/noodles and most of the dishes are in the £6-£9 range. There aren't really starters or appetizers but there are side dishes so I tried the ebi katsu-5 deep fried prawns with chili garlic dipping sauce. We also tried duck gyoza, deep fried dumplings, not something I'd order again.
For my entree I've had the chicken katsu curry several times-deep fried breaded chicken with curry sauce and white rice, very tasty. I've also tried seafood ramen, I didn't like it as much as the chicken katsu but it was still pretty tasty and a very large portion. On my 4th visit I tried chicken ramen, more or less chicken noodle soup which was exactly was I was looking for. On my last visit I had chicken pad thai. We brought kids here on our August 2008 visit, my nephew enjoyed it, my niece who has a bias towards anything that appears to be Chinese did not. But I think it's family friendly and there is a kids menu.

Waggamama's: A new fun place to eat
We asked the cabbie after we left Harrod's if there was a different kind of restaurant near-and he said Waggamama's was new and we'd like it with teenagers. The dishes were all noodles-all kinds-and very good and filling. Open, airy place, very busy but fast. Alot of fun and Augie even got one of their t-shirts he enjoyed wearing throughout the trip.
Favorite Dish: All the noodles were very good, different meats and vegetables stirfried in with different sauces

Wagamama: Noodles! Happy! Healthy!
Mm, steaming hot, thick, ramen noodles in generous portions. Japanese beer, and all sorts of large cold beverages. The perfect place to take anyone, your kids, your family, your mum, your date. It's very busy and bustling, and quite informal. You may have to wait for a seat, and you cannot get a table to yourself because everyone sits on long benches. But that just contributes to the lively, happy atmosphere. The food is big, good and healthy, and you walk out feeling happy. Definitely joy in food. Also, a great place to take your partner if you want to dump them because there are so many people so they can't make a scene!
Favorite Dish: Ramen! Wholesome and filling. Udon noodles are also tasty.

Wagamama: Positive eating
Wagamama is a restaurant's chain of Thai food basically, although is possible to find rice, noddles, dumplins and delicious soups and natural juices!!!
The food is made at the moment of being serve and it is really healthy.
There are several Wagamama restaurants in London and all of them have the same ambience of big tables where normally you share space with other people. There are small tables in some of them but not very common.
The service is quick and very friendly.
mon-sat 12noon - 11pm
sunday 12.30pm - 10.00pm
Favorite Dish: I always started with a carrott and apple natural juice which is very nice.
I used to see the recommendations that sometimes are nice, as Thai rice with vegetables.... or some fish with salad and rice a bit spicy, which is nice too.
However, my favourite dishes are dumplins and Chicken ramen soup.
As dessert, sometimes I have taken the white chocolate with ginger cake [hmmmmm] or a cup of jazmin tea which is Free :-)
There are some 'positive menus' which are a good price. £10.00 aprox.
The rest depends on you and how hungry you are....
I have attached website where you can find out more about dishes and prices.
