The huge Camden Markets are a free form chaos. They get so crowded on the weekends that you will think that you are in The Third World.

    The markets include:

The Camden Canal Market where you will find bric-a-brac, furniture and designer clothes.

TheCamden Market you will find leather good and army surplus gear.

The Electric Market you will find records and 1960's clothing.

What to pay: Bargain in all of these markets

Camden town in whole is a market area with lots too see and even smell.. You can make interesting findings or just experience the unique atmosphere. People there are also quite colourful. I think the market area is on its best on sundays.

What to buy: Clothes, used clothes, shoes, decoration, strange stuff

What to pay: Prize level is much cheaper than in downtown

  • Camden Market: Funky freaky market

by Julialondon Written Dec 7, 2004

    An ariel view

I couldn't pick a category for this market as it sells literally everything! Its funky and alternative and appeals to communities such as ravers goths and students the most.

What to buy: You can get anything from clothes, things for your house, crazy crafts and gadgets, smoking paraphenalia, records, CDs and DVDs and just about anything else. The shops in Camden are also very similar.

What to pay: As little or as much as you like

Dr Martens: Boots made for walking

by Sjalen Written May 4, 2007

Dr Martens is known all over the World as the boot worn by all sorts of alternative people but also by the London police force and many many others. Personally, I love them once the first few weeks' pain has given way to that special Doc M feel when the boot fits perfectly :) London is of course the place to buy them as here they come in all sorts of colours and patterns and not just the classic grey and burgundy. Union Jack, purple, flowers...you name it. If you are already a DM owner, this is also the place where you can buy those spare laces that your shoe shop at home won't stock.

Camden Market's at Camden Lock are the coolest there are!
All younger, hippy/goth/confused/creative/whatchamacallit's hang around there

There's great bargain shopping, and you'll find stuff you never knew would be invented, let alone sold- plenty of creative artistic stuff too.

Get there by tube or bus and leave by Boat (Camden Canal)! tres cute.

    What to buy: Alternative clothing
    Vintage
    Books
    Vegetable stalls
    Music shops
    Bookstores
    Art galleries
    Accessories
    Interior design
    etc

What to pay: Camden Market is relatively cheaper than highstreet and brand shopping of oxford and kings/sloane roads.

Camden is a great vibrant area of London and has four main markets. They cater for those individuals who do not want to buy from the big retail chains, and particularly for those whose idea of fasion is individuality.

it's just a place worth to see if not to shop. very colourful, very different, loads of stuff from the Middle East and the Far East. I always shop there. Many unique things

What to buy: colourful beddings and other materials, souvenirs, clothes

What to pay: try and bargain. sometimes it works. also depends on a shopper, probably about £100-£200

  • Clothes: Camden town

If your lookin for high street fashion, n punk rock is your style of dressing definitely a plce for you to visit. Also, if your a reserved, straight person who needs a feel of a diff area to what he is used too i would say go to camden town. This place has some nice stores with a lot of junk, free style dressing.from boots,to hats,to accessories, junk jewellery, tatoo n body piercing centres.Don't be surprised if you see people with purple hair n faces pierced walkin around this is definately home for them.

What to buy: Shoes, leather goods.u can bargain so make sure u do.how long the stuff will last, well that only god knows.i paid 10 pounds for a belt by the time i took a tube n reached home a chip of it was out but it still is the sexiest belt ever.

What to pay: what u can afford

Camden Market: Shopping frenzy in Camden

by CaffineFreak Written Jan 3, 2003

In camden market and high street you can buy just about any fastion that you might desire, from Gothic to funky clubbing, so is alway worth having a wander round.

What to buy: Gothic, hippy clothing always good, also leather jackets and boots.

What to pay: Like most markets dont pay the ticket price, always try and haggle the traders down, if they wont budge have a look around before buying as you will always find things cheaper

  • camden market: camden market

by miromi Written Jun 7, 2003

the market is a spectacle in itself, but the best shops are located inside the bridge in the vicinity of the cyberdog store. it's a great place to get all your subcultural accoutrements, but i found most of the clothes rather weak--the same cheap yet overpriced knock-off brands repeated over and over again and found everywhere in the city. it was refreshing to find many stalls offering the latest japanese street fashions, but the average european or american woman is too stocky and large for them.

What to buy: the most killer deals are the doc marten shoe stalls, where you can pick up wacky and obscure styles of this line for £10-20. cheap and garish accessories are also nice.

What to pay: most clothes are priced under £40, but the quality is so awful that i find this too high.

    Markets: Camden Market

    by Meadows11 Written Mar 11, 2005

Camden Market is a very popular venue offering clothing, jewellery, music and much more, seemingly targeting a more youthful audience, or even just the young at heart. You can pick up very fashionable items at uber cheap prices, and much fun can be had bartering with the stall owners. I usually manage to get a price on the already cheap band t-shirts by buying in bulk and striking up a deal with the retailer. You won't find too much brand name or high life fashion here, just funky clothes and accessories at even funkier prices!

  • Markets: Shop Here, if you dont want a hole in your pocket

by atifkazi Written Aug 15, 2004

Virtually Everything is on Sale at
"Camden Market", it also has a feeling of being hip and young, as the market goes with the ages. Its a great place for everyone to go and purchase.......anything!!.
    Also another market is the
Portobello Road Market, its a bit more expensive, but here you can find fruit and vegs, antiques and collectables. WORTH A VISIT ASWELL!!!

What to buy: Whatever you want

What to pay: Prices Vary, and this is a market, so it wouldnt be very expensive. Since this is a market dont forget to haggle!.
