Name Tottenham Hotspur Nickname Spurs Stadium White Hart Lane League Play In Premier League Honours Home Kit White Shirt, blue shorts, white socks Away Kit Spurs are a club with a great tradition in the English game although in recent seasons they haven't quite lived up to that reputation. I enjoy going to watch Spurs as I go with a friend of mine who is a season ticket holder. We normally go on the train and have a few cans of beer on the way down. We normally go on a bit of a bar crawl down there in my friends "locals" before going to the match.

Name West Ham United Nickname The Hammers Stadium Upton Park League Play In The Championship Honours Home Kit Claret and blue shirts, white shorts. Away Kit Upton Park is officially known as The Boleyn Ground. West Ham are a very famous club and their most famous player was Bobby Moore, Englands World Cup winning captain. I have been to watch the Hammers several times but the most notable was for a midweek League Cup match. It was in the days of terracing and pay on the gate matches. I arrived early and took my place at the back of the terracing, but by the start of the match I had been pushed right down to the front of the terracing and then had to climb over the barrier on to the pitch whilst the game had started. Apparently the counter on the turnstyle had broken down so too many fans were let in. Several hundred of us spilled onto the pitch and were then escorted underneath the adjoining stand while a solution was worked out. Just before half time we were escorted back onto the terracing but in the West Ham fans section and only a few Policemen seperated us and them, needless to say some fighting broke out. It was a bad night all round, Villa lost as well and we even crashed the car on the way home. A few weeks later, the tradegy at Hillsborough happened with about 90 Liverpool fans being sadly killed, if there had been fences at Upton Park it could have happened to us Villa fans as well.

I went to see the Harlem Globetrotters at Wembley Arena when I was at school, it was great to see all these famous sports stars in London. They played against the Washington Generals and won convincingly even with all their tricks and tomfoolery. I didn't realise at the time that the Globetrotters play all their games against the Generals and always win. Nevertheless it was a great evening out watching them do things with a basketball that I never imagined.

The London Arena is a modern purpose builtplace to hold sports and other events like concerts and exhibitions. The London Knights Ice Hockey team play there amongst other things. I went there to register for the 2000 London Marathon and visit the Marathon Exhibition. You could get all kinds of freebies from power bars to massages or even buy the latest running gear.

Name Arsenal Nickname The Gunners Stadium Highbury League Play In Premier League Honours Home Kit Red and white shirt, white shorts and red socks. Away Kit Blue shirt, shorts and socks. They are currently the top club in the country and have some of the Worlds best footballers playing for them. Highbury has two of the finest pieces of football architecture in the World in the East and West Stands, I`m not too sure what will happen to them when Arsenal move grounds in the next couple of years. I have been to Highbury a few times now and always enjoy my time there. A few beers are normally part of the day in "Arsenal" pubs as a few of my friends support the Gunners.
