The Apple Market inside Covent Garden Market is worth a look at because there are good quality handicrafts for sale such as painting, jewellery, candles and other well made items.

The name Covent Garden is one of the worst spelling mistakes in the history of the English language.

Touristy on the weekends and at night.

Good if you like crowds and shops.

Covent Garden is one of London’s first squares. It was designed by architect Inigo Jones in the early 1630s. It was originally part of a convent vegetable garden.

Covent Garden is a nice spot to stop for a drink before attending a play around the corner or just browsing the small shops for a nik nak to take home.

Be warned NO MONEY NO PHOTO!!

There are many people who make their money either being a clown like this chap or else being a statue only moving when money is dropped into their hat.
