Royal and Ceremonial London, London
Guardhouse is home to the Household Division. Two mounted horsemen are on guard duty from 10AM until 4PM every day with a changeover every hour.
Nobody knows what these guys are guarding there, but for the classical tourist picture you have to go there.
There is no changing of guards on Saturday, so don't they get tired at all???
This is a change of the horse guards at about 2pm on Saturday. "Mini" changing of guards.
Go take a pic of one of the bored guards sitting around on his horse. Can you imagine having to do this all day!!
Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Place.
Hey! I saw the Red jackets of the Coldstream Guards. Good view huh? I struggled for that!!!
The changing of the guard is a 'must see' one time in your life. Its heritage laden militaristic tradition at its best. I love the uni's and the pomp and circumstance.
Of course the changing of the guard. English guard changing ceremony was the biggest one I've ever seen in other European countries.
The releave of the guards at Buckinham Palace
Everyday, same time, the guards do their daily prosession in front of the ample crowd.
I wish I could have seen it but when we were there the city was experiencing a huge protest and so the changing of the guards was cancelled.
Not a really must see... eiks... I wouldn't wanna go near there. Just something fun.
It is quite crowded in front with hordes of tourists taking pictures, and not so from behind :-P.
