    The Tower of London

This place, though always full of tourists, is one place that epitomizes London's glorious (and sometimes gory!) past. The setting on the Thames is lovely. Climbing the towers, seeing the Traitor's Gate, the ravens, the Yeoman Warders, the Crown Jewels, etc. all contribute to a fascinating experience. I've been there twice and would go again. This was one of the first places I took my companion since he'd never been to London. He really enjoyed the Tower.

You are able to hire audio headphones to help you walk through the site and there are so many stories related to this castle so it can take a number of hours to take it all in.A must see!

Even though it's a really touristy place, the Tower of London is a really cool place to visit. There are a bunch of tame ravens that call the Tower "home".

The Yeoman Warders, who are also known as Beefeaters, are guards of the Tower. They're clad in their traditional Tudos uniforms.

They give daily tours of this popular tourist attraction.

A very interesting attraction, and looking at the crown jewels was a highlight. Pricey, but that's London for you.

Another view of the Tower of London. The moat is now grass and visitors can walk around it or walk on the walls of the old moat.
