I have never been a big fan of the underground. I beleive it's over priced, and services do not meet the standard.
It feels like being packed in a tuna can.

Exhausted...we flopped in a park chair. Later nearly got arrested for not paying to sit!! We had no idea we had to pay to sit in the park :-) Well, we got a laugh out of it.
Almost everywhere where you have to pay in London could be regarded as a tourists trap. Check what you get for the money!

The changing of the guard is completely overrated. You can't see anything since the crowd is at least 30 people deep. And it's just a bunch of guys in funny hats marching around. . .
I never saw one but did get trapped into taking hundreds of pictures since everything was so marvelous to see.

Millenium Dome. Undoubtedly the laughing stock of last century and possibly will be of this century too. Loads of money was wasted on this joke of a dome and there's nothing at all special about it.
The souvenirs in the shop of museum, gallery, historical places are more expensive than you can buy out!
Harrods, Knightsbride. An Excellent place to windowshop. Find what you want and then go somewhere else to buy it! Harrods is a right-royal-rip-off!

Covent Garden is a bustling marketplace and a really great place to people watch. Often there are street performers and mimes on/near the premisis.
How astonished was I to find that Starbucks has taken over London, too! It certainly takes some of the charm away from this cute little street near the Tower Bridge!
