You can catch trains around, or into, London. Trains are generally comfortable and fast, but can be unreliable and are usually late. You can catch a train into central London from nearly everywhere in London and the UK. The main drawback of using the train is they are quite expensive, especially if you are travelling a fairly long distance. If you plan to make a few journeys you can get daily, weekly or monthly travelcards, which offer a substantial discount. Leave a Comment Theme: Train

if you buy a travel card your ticket will be valid on buses, tubes and trains, however if you buy an overground ticket travelling from A - B you may not be able to travel on the tubes. please look at the ticket when you get it and in the bottom left hand corner just above the national rail sign, it should read "Route Any Permitted" this will allow you to travel through london by tube instead of having to travel by overground train.
