Morris Dancers appear as if out of thin air in a busy town centre do their dance & do a collection. It is quite a colourful and noisy display.

This may not be a local custom for everyone living here but it is for us! haha We LOVE hosting games evenings... getting a bunch of girls and boys together (of course, the teams are always boys against girls!) :)
Last night we had 11 people in our home... we played games (Cranium a firm favourite!), drank wine and laughed ourselves silly all night - it is amazing how well people get on even though meeting for the first time! Such a variety of people were here from various places in my life:
Cape Town church friend (Saffa)
Fellow student from Wits Tech (Saffa)
Friend met through another friend - Italiano!
Wimbledon church pals (English and SA folk)
VT pal (Aussiemadcow)
Work coleague (mad Frenchman hehe)
Family (even madder!!! haha)

 Estate Agents galore! by Jenniflower
Being first time buyers we searched for a home we could afford and wasnt too far commuting-wise (zone 3) and ended up buying a place that needed to be totally gutted and renovated.
The Real Estate people must make a ton of money... there is such a high demand for property and sellers can basically name their price often it seems.
We are grateful to be on the property ladder already. Not the easiest thing to do in London. Home prices have eased off this year thankfully. Leave a Comment

A restless crowd is not a happy crowd, and everyone is keen to see as much tennis as possible... especially when there are threatening clouds looming!

If the weather bureau says there will be rain, they might keep the covers on... or else play may start and if the rain comes down, the game will be stopped and the covers hastily put on. Leave a Comment
