We went here for the works Christmas dinner, it was fabulous. It was a nice day so we just decided to picnic in the grounds of Hall I' Th' Wood. There's a nice long, low wall beside the lawns that is ideal to sit along. This picture was taken on top of Rivington Pike on a foggy day, as you can see the fog was laying like a thick layer of clouds beneath the hill, always be aware that mist and fog can be quite dangerous even at this low altitude.
