Know about this?
Luggage and bags: Manchester is quite flat in the city centre so you can bring wheeled suitcase with you. You see a lot of people wheeling suitcases around in the early hours of the morning near picadilly train station. If you are travelling around on buses, metro, trains etc I would recommend wearing a bag pack as it is easier to travel with a rucksack rather than a wheeled suitcase.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Manchester is famous for its rain. So always keep an umberella handy!

Be prepared for rain if its winter
Luggage and bags: Just bring a warm coat and an umbrella that can withstand wind.
Miscellaneous: In England, there are no electrical outlets in the bathrooms..so maybe bring an extension cord in case you want to be in the bathroom if you dry your hair,etc...
Pick up a cheap umbrella or bring one from home
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Rain and wind can get ugly here - then you will be too. And we don't want any ugly people wandering around here.
Pick up a cheap umbrella at Primark then give it to a poor person before you go back to your country.

Periodic but essential - prepare for rain
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It does rain in Manchester, though not as much as some people in other parts of England would have you believe. It's not likely to chuck it down all day, but it's a good idea to prepare for those times when it does. If you don't want to carry a small umbrella (which can be annoying to forget in pubs), just wear a jacket with a hood, like many Mancunians do.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Wet weather clothes are a must, it is a standing joke in England that it always rains in Manchester. 90% of the times that I have been it has rained.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: As in most English towns and cities everything is readily available.
Photo Equipment: The same goes for photo equipment as toiletries and medical supplies.
Luggage and bags: It doesn't really matter, but rucksacks are the best for carrying around during the day as they are anywhere.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Yep, I'm sure you've heard...... in Manchester it tends to rain quite a lot! So I would suggest one of those waterproof jackets that rolls up small for Spring & Summer and in Autumn & Winter it tends to be cold anyway so best to have a decent wintercoat that is cold proof and waterproof!
Luggage and bags: Anything goes really!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You must be warned us northerners do like our rain.......not through choice but thats all the weather man gives to us!
Be sure to bring an umberella!!
We have had some really good weather over the last few weeks, summer can be quite unperdictable, August is usually the best month and February the worst!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Almost everything can be purchase at the chemist which are open 9-5 Monday to Saturday and some on Sunday's
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you've got camping equipment bring it and take a trip to the Lake District!
Luggage and bags: Bring a backpack or something with wheels, my suitcase was extremely heavy, you'd think these sheep were packed inside. (Sorry Dave!)
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: An umbrella and raincoat are always good items for UK. Though I had pretty good weather during my week in Manchester. However, it did rain quite heavily the day I left. Good walking shoes are a must if, like me, you like to see lots and do lots. If visiting the Peak District and Caverns have good trainers or hiking shoes.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: You can basically buy it all there.
Miscellaneous: Bring an airpump for inflatable air mattresses which deflate in the night while you are sleeping. (Sorry Dave, couldn't resist one comment about it!)
Luggage and bags: Backpacks are a great idea, if you are going up market or here on a family holiday suitcases are fine.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Water proof clothing, warm clothing (even in summer as a precaution). Anything goes.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Whatever you usually use.
Photo Equipment: Camera, film and batteries. Although you can buy them here.
Miscellaneous: Umbrella or jacket with a hood.
Watch out for the rain!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You dont have to pack waterproofs as such but a jacket would help if it is cold. one minute it could be sunny thenext chucking it down. Although not as bad as people say it is!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: An umbrella is crucial. Manchester has a reputation for rain. Many people will say that this is unfounded, but after living there for 16 years I can tell you it isn't.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Manchester is Notorious for it's constant rainfall, be sure to bring an umbrella or waterproof with you.
