The Cafe Rouge: French cuisine
A large restaurant/bar/cafe situated in the Printworks complex in the city centre.A wide range of food available, mainly French but with the odd English dish.Food was ok but not brilliant and the service was rather slow. Its quite expensive too with the lowest priced main meal above ten pounds. Its modern and nicely decorated but its not somewhere i would go again in the near future.
Favorite Dish: I had steak and chips with a garlic dip,it was nice but i have had better.

Cafe Rouge: Wonderful duck confit!
Situated to the exterior of The Printworks, Cafe Rouge was a great location for our Christmas Markets evening meal in November 2010.
21 sat down to eat and a variety of dishes were ordered and served. I had the confit de canard (duck confit) which was served with plum sauce, French beans and dauphinoise potatoes - all of which were delicious.
This is a chain restaurant and locations can be found across the United Kingdom - including at London Gatwick Airport where I had the confit de canard again - equally delicious!
Favorite Dish: Confit de canard - a delicious offering of duck confit which is served with French beans (cooked to perfection) and a delicious, creamy dauphinoise potato.
Cafe Rouge Restaurant Bar Cafe: Cafe Rouge
Cafe Rouge is a national chain restaurant which focuses on French cuisine since opening in 1989. There are over a 100 restaurants in the UK that open all day for breakfast to evening dinner, seven days a week!
There is plenty to choose from for all appetities including starters, mains and deserts. There is a nice wine menu which has the perfect choices appropriate for your chosen main course.
I visited Cafe Rouge at Manchester's Printworks Complex for our VT meet for dinner in November 2010 where I dined with wonderful company!
Prices vary depending on what you order.
Favorite Dish: I had a lovely dish, Legumes Breton with mushrooms, courgettes, leeks, French beans and carrots in a lovely cream sauce with rice this was accompanied with Pignot Grigio (not exactly French but the wine did nicely!).
