The Printworks is one of the most popular venues in Manchester, it houses various establishments including Filmworks IMAX cinema and a further 19 screens. Holmes place total leisure and gym complex. Wagamama's Japanese style noodle bar. Hard Rock Cafe, Lucid, Nandos. Chiquito. New Orleons bar, and more, it was Europe's first urban entertainment centre.

We found this place in the city center and decided to stop in on my first day in Manchester and we enjoyed a nice glass of wine in the afternoon... It was really cold, so I complained ( just a little bit) about how cold it was outside, so we picked a local place and stopped in... I think Michael was freezing too but didnt want to admit it ;)

The Printworks is very near Victoria Train Station - here there are various eating places such as Hard Rock Cafe and others along this style. then there is an IMAX cinema - if you have never experienced an Imax cinema before then i recommend you go - I seen a few flims on IMAX at the one in Bradford - it is a nice breathtaking experience.
ALso in the Printworks is the Comedy Lounge - i am thinking of checking this out soon - there are 3 comedians on every friday night to my knowledge and 3 comedians on every sat night

You could easily lose a whole day in the printworks. The cinema is great (especially the imax screen). The restaurants are o.k., the bars are generally busy with a (usually) good atmosphere and lucid nightclub is one of my favourites in Manchester, its combination of various dancefloors, bar, pool tables and chill-out areas give it a certain Je ne sais quoi!

Printworks is a leisure and nighlife complex in the city centre. Formerly it was actually the printing works, but now it;s been converted to be a sort of "indoor street". Not at all how I imagined it would be. Bars, cafes, cinema, restaurants etc line the "street" on several levels, and there is a large video screen and music playing. It's quite dark, always feeling a bit like evening, and reminded me a little of the street scenes from "Blade Runner". The cinema is a multiplex and incorporates an IMAX screen (that's a huge format cinema screen).

Printworks is a fantastic state of the art entertainment Plaza located in the heart of Manchester City Centre. It is home to a range of restaurants, bars and clubs alongside a cinema and a gym.
