Lovely women, scented candle and potpourri smells, crafts, rose trees... step into here of the A6 and you found Eden. Great place when you need to find a gift that will make any woman feel like you are actually a thoughtful man.

Flower arranging is also available as a service here...

Congratulations to Kerry, who just had little girl!

What to buy: Grab anything in sight - it is all wonderful and all for sale.

What to pay: It really ranges since it is from flowers to antiques...

Yu and Me: Souq of Stockport

Super Friendly Yu and Me - Me and Yu
    4 more images

There are other Yu and Me stores on the A6 but I think one really lets their collection bug do it's thang... all over the street.
Stuff with zero connection to the stuff next to it piled neatly all over the street and within it's warehouse style interior - if you are from Morocco and are homesick for a bit of sooq-ness, root around a bit at the Yu and Me - between Gladstone and Cherry Tree Lane on the A6
Friendly Asian guys run the place and will patiently answer any questions you might have about deals on 2005 planners, porcelain penguins, and peat moss. They have it ALL, baby.

What to buy: The list for what they DON'T have would be easier. This place has it all and so cheap (something to consider if you are travelling to England on a budget)

What to pay: The least you will pay for the same items anywhere else in Greater Manchester...

Mersey Way: Everything you need in one place & it's not a mall

    *under construction*

Mersey Way has clothes shops such as Marks & Spencer, BHS, Monsoon, New Look, Next, Debenhams and Primark. There's a good amount of shoe shops (my fave!!), music shops, electronic shops, beauty shops, and £1 shops.

Pedestrial zone of Stockport: Books, DVDs, clothing

    by Ines28 Written Sep 19, 2004
    Stockport

Stockport has a nice pedestrial zone with many shops such as Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, BHS etc. The book shop situated opposite of Burger King has a large variety of fiction, travel books, gardening books etc. They had a promotion and we got a few books for only GBP 1,99 each.

What to pay: Depending on what kind of book you buy, you can spend between GBP 2,00 and GBP 8,00. Books seem to be the only thing in Great Britain that is cheaper than in Germany, for example! ;-))
