A bar in a cellar that hosts live music and club nights. Hilarious in it's tininess, which accounts for how busy it is. I seem to remember that you get a free drink ticket with your entry ticket. Bonus!
Dress Code: none
The Mayflower is right next to the Yacht Clubs, so attracts quite a yachty crowd. They recently did the place up so it looks pretty good. During the summer months, they keep a big barbecue going outside and the food is really good.
The Kings Head is at the top of the quay and is always full at weekends. Its a real 'pubby' pub - quite dark with low ceilings. You can get nice food here too, but its a bit pricey for what it is.
The Haven is more of a BIstro, but in the summer the outside bar is the place to be - really sociable, good food, nice setting.
Last but not least the Thomas Tripp. Set at the top of the High Street opposite Morrisons supermarket.
As with most of Lymington, you'll find these pubs are at their best in the summer months, when more people are passing through.
Chequers is probably the best pub in Lymington: it is set right in the middle of nowhere but is nevertheless packed full on friday and saturday nights, usually with the yachting crowd. The food is great and the walled garden is really nice to sit in, even when its colder as there are patio heaters.
Afternote: apparently the food isnt so good anymore, but it is still a very nice pub to go to for a drink.*
