Luggage and bags: These comments are for anybody thinking of taking a boat with them.
Holdall with tools ,spare spark plug,VHF Marine hand held radio,Inshore flares,
mobile phone but make sure the network covers that area,not all networks work in all areas
and the one thing people tend to forget is a: Spare wheel for your trailer and wheel clamp.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A flotation suit and Life jacket and of course a large brimmed hat to keep the sun off.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: First aid Kit
Photo Equipment: Digital camera at least 3.2m pixel, the reason for this is if you are lucky enough to come across Dolphins you can fire away and then erase the bad ones.
They are very quick at moving from one side to the next
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: A waterproof jacket is a must,remember this is England.
Miscellaneous: Binoculars, 7X50 are the preferd range on water.

Luggage and bags: Bring whatever you like, but remember you have to carry it :-)
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Best advice bring the most comfortable shoes you have, you will be doing a lot of walking .
Portsmouth is normaly cold in winter, warm in summer, but always, always have an umbrella, it has been known to rain on just one side of the street here and be sunny on the other.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: You can buy everything you need in the UK , but make sure you have enough prescription drugs with you to last, if you do not belong to the EU the Medical costs are high and a lot of meds can't be bought over the counter, if you are not sure go to
they have a lot of info there.
Photo Equipment: The UK can deal with any of your Photographic needs it may be a little more expensive than the US and Canada though
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There are a few campsite on the outskirts of Portsmouth, but you wont really need bug spray here.
Miscellaneous: Just bring lots of money.
What to bring with?
Luggage and bags: Luggage with wheels is always a good idea, wherever you are travelling.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Whether snowy/wet/sunny/warm or cold weather, layer your clothing.
Always remember to bring a cap/hat that covers your head and neck for when it gets hot, as well as sunglasses.
I have been twice in the month of June... and it's always been quite hot, although last time we had a heavy shower and it was chilly too... so always have a warm jacket/cardigan handy too!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen (Factor 35 is the minimum factor I use, no matter what the weather is), headache tablets and usual little things like some plasters for blisters, cotton wool, germolene etc.
Photo Equipment: Your camera, with charger, and a EUROPEAN plug extension if travelling from overseas.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Sports items if you are playing sport, which our church party were.

Luggage and bags: Lugging bags around is a pain but so few rail stations have luggage lockers these days. If you need to drop your bags for the day in Portsmouth, go to the Victory news agent between The Hard Interchange and entrance to the Historic Dockyard. It costs 1.50GBP for each bag to be locked away next door.
NB: It may be worth checking with the local Tourist Info in advance to see if this offer is still available, there has been a crackdown on these arrangements all over Britain for 'security reasons'.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfy walking shoes are a must. We walked for miles.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Pack your sunscreen! I didn't apply enough and burnt the backs of my legs!
