Dine India: Great new menu
We have been to Dine India on a few occasions and have really enjoyed the both the food and service. Even after the first time the owners recognised our faces and had remembered some of our preferences which creates a really personalised touch.
The reason for the review is because the menu has just been changed along with a new chef. I thought the food was very good before, but now it is excellent. The spices and flavours really stand out compared to other Indian restaurants, and moves you away from just selecting on "chilli rating"! We also liked the fact the dishes are less oily then most.
Along with a recent refurbishment this restaurant is my top pick in Hertfordshire let alone Watford!
Dine India: Good Indian Restaurant
The Dine India restaurant is one of the better restaurants in Watford. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere with the tables through the back facing out onto a small conservatory area. Service is attentive, friendly and very professional and they have a well stocked bar.
A takeaway service is also available with a 10% discount and for orders over £10 they will deliver free to the local area.
Opens 7 days a week from 5.30pm until 11pm and they usually have special offers on a Thursday.

Zinco: Not just another Italian restaurant
When Zinco's first opened, I thought great another Italian restaurant-just want Watford needs. But having been many times, it's a great place to go. Great selection on the menu. They cater for both large groups and couples. Never had a bad meal there. Staff are really friendly. The atmosphere is buzzy, but you can still hear the over person speak. When the weather permits, there are tables and chairs outside for that cafe feel.
Favorite Dish: Pasta dishes-too many to have one definite favourite

143: Great value
Nice little modern restaurant at the top end of Watford High Street.
They have a good range of pizza/pasta dishes as well as fish/meat.
On Sundays they have a fixed price menu - £5 one course/£7.50 for two.
Favorite Dish: Have the mozarrella balls with the dips - crunchy outside and just melting on the inside.
The penne arrabiata was as good as any I have had elsewhere.

L'Artista: Best Italian in the world!
SERIOUSLY, I have been to some restaurants around the world and I can honestly say that this one (on my own back door) is the best Italian ever. It is ran by Italians, so the food is fantastic.
I have not had one bad meal in all the years that I have been eating there.
If you don't want to visit Watford for anything else, at least come and try this restaurant.
If it is a birthday visit, let them know and see the response you get. I won't say anything else, it would spoil the suprise!
They do not take bookings of less than 6 people. It is a very popular restaurant so you may have to wait for a table, although you won't have to wait long, honest!
Favorite Dish: The veal in cream sauce, just melts in the mouth. The garlic bread too, just be aware that you will pong of garlic the next day!
