When travelling to or around Welwyn the train is your best choice. Comfortable, fast and with good connections. Mind you that you might need to change trains at some times, look at the timetables and the signs veru carefully.

Welwyn Garden City has very good rail links in and out of London King's Cross on the East Coast Main Line. It's also possible to travel north to Peterborough and Cambridge without changing trains plus also take a slower service to/from London Moorgate. The station is conveniently located in the centre of the town where the ticket offices are located in the nearby Howard Centre (shopping centre). The bus station is conveniently located in the town centre at the northern end of the Howard Centre near the train station.
Green Line 724 provides a cross-county link via Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, St Albans, Watford and Heathrow Airport.
