Freshney place is the heart of Grimsby. It has major stores include BHS, Virgin, Index, River Island, Woolworths, Marks and Spencer, Binns, Top Shop, Primark, WH Smith and nearly a hundred other shops. Connected to Freshney place is the newer market place.

What to buy: Chicken sandwiches from the market place and sandwiches from Mark and Spencer :D (foodfoodfood)

Cleethorpes looks like a place made for tourists. It has this long beach with all kind of activities, but even without them the beach with the pier looks nice. You can walk several kilometres in the sand and enjoy the fresh ocean air. It used to have also an aquarium near the beach, but I donýt know if itýs still there, I no longer canýt find any info of it.

Unique Suggestions: Try the chips in the cool ocean air :)

The Ice House in an old ice factory since 1900. Itýs a cool thing to see nearby the water front and other fish related place. The ice was brought from Norway to cool the fish. The Ice House was closed in 1990.

The main thing I remember about watching Villa play against Grimsby was a Villa player getting his shirt ripped and some fighting after the game as the exit for both sets of supporters were right next to each other.

Equipment: To watch the match the only equipment you really need is a good strong voice to sing your club`s songs and encourage the team and your eyes to actually watch the game, some people do take a pair of binoculars if they sit far from the pitch.
Apart from the above the club s encourage you to buy their merchandise to enhance your matchday experience, you can buy virtually anything from hats and scarfs to the full blown replica kit, which generally is updated annually.

Favorite thing: Grimsby has quite a good shoping centre, many of the top stores are also here.
A pleasant day can be made of the trip in the centre and in the surrounding streets full of shops. Coupled to this is a two minute walk through to the award winning Heritage centre its open seasonally but will really open your eyes as to how your fish was trawled for in times gone by.

Fondest memory: Home is where your from its your begining and your end, its where your most happiest.
I know of many places far better than Grimsby and far Worse as well but Grimsby is my home and I'm proud to be a Grimberian.
I miss the fish and chips, they dont come much fresher.
