The Funky monkey has recently opened up in Dover offering great cocktails, beer live premiership ad DJ's until the early hours of the morning. Why did someone not open a place like this in Dover before I never will no.

If you come to Dover you will have to make your own entertainment!!!
There is one so called night club but if you are over about 19 don't bother. It is loud, dirty and not the nicest of places. it is called Nuage.
The pubs close a the normal times but there is one place open a little later called The Funky Monkey. You normally have to be in before 10.30 if they have room for you.. it is free entry too.
Nu-Age has three dance rooms all with differing styles of music, from classics 70's to modern dance. Each room ahs a large bar and drinks are reasonably priced.
A tip is to go upstairs and get served a either of two bars as most people go to the first bar as they go through the door.
Hopefully the new management will improve the standards and be far stricter on enforcing age.

Men should wear trousers and shoes or expect to be refused entry. Woman should be smartly dressed.
The Roman Quay Pub has been made into one of Dovers must popular pubs by its landlord - Gus. The pub is situated in the centre of Dover and has occasional live music, comedy nights and themed parties.
Unfortunately there is no room for pub meals. The pub is packed and very lively at weekends and is generally busy at all times of the day.
The landlord used to play for Dover Rugby Club and has a great collection of rugby shirts displayed around the pub.

There is no dress code for this pub. except on theme nights when you need to dress up acccordingly! Check the website for upcoming events and see pictures of former nights.
This seems to be the place the young clubbers gather (and some not so young).
It is very popular or infamous, there are always stories about the place, usually amusing.
I have not been there but I know lots of people who have and it sounds like it is a bit of a dive but people keep going back.
Incidentally locally it is pronounced "New Age" I think the French cloud is totally lost on the clientele.

Not much
There are pubs, clubs and Casino's in Dover to keep you happy for ages, but my personal favorite is The Arlington.
At just over 250 years old it is Dovers oldest pub. The pub is a massive 3m wide and 10m deep and rightly claims to be the smallest pub in Kent bearing a plaque by the door proclaiming this. The Arlington is one of a small breed of pubs that has no jukebox, darts board or pool table, just good conversation.
