Canterbury is the main shopping town in the East of Kent and offers many small antique shops and curiosity shops alongside some great bookstore and most of the leading UK high street chain and department stores.
The high street area is pedestrianised.
For white goods and electronics the best place is on the Canterbury industrial estates..Wincheap, Sturry Road and Broad Oak Road...really you would need a car to get to these.

No trip to the English seaside would be complete without a stick of rock, ice-cream or candy floss. This lovely street in Broadstairs sells them all.
