Blackpool trams go from stargate to Fleetwood and run mainly along the prom. They are great way to get around although can be a bit expensive if only going a short journey you can however by one, three and five day hopper tickets which will give you a large saving if you plan and using the trams and even the buses a lot over the course of the. In the years following the second world war every British city tore up its tracks rather than invest in their cities infrastructure : except Blackpool.
These days there is only one route, but it does go right along the front of the city by the sea, before diverting a little in land at the Northern end to reach Fleetwood.
Whilst slow and lumbering, they make for an excellent way to see the city, and as virtually everything you would want to use in Blackpool is strung out along the miles of front it is very useful as well.
Just one little tip ; make sure you board one of the double decker trams, it imporoves the view. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

It has Ryanair flights from Dublin, Girona and Stansted. It may expand services in time, but other flights are all charter ones. This could provide a route in, but you are more likely to be able to use scheduled flights to Manchester and Liverpool airports, which are both only a skip and a jump away.
There is also a weekly flight to Tenarife. Somewhar ironic I think as it was charter flights such as these that all but destroyed the tradional seaside British Holiday. Leave a Comment

I drove in a rental. It was about 2-3 hrs from Wolverhampton (outside of Birmingham). There is a main car park right by the amusment park. I know there are trains, but you'll have to look at someone else's transportation recommendations
