In Grantham, you'll find the Grantham Museum. It looks back on Grantham History, WW2, Isaac Newton, Margaret Thatcher, etc.... The museum has an interesting exhibit on the dambusters. The Dambuster bombing raids were planned in Grantham...bombs that skipped on the surface of water and blew up dams in Germany during WW2. It's not a huge museum, but it is interesting...and entry is free.
Open - Monday -Saturday 10 A.M. - 5 P.M.
St. Wulfram's Church in Grantham - about 280 feet high - built in the 1100s. In the 1300s, it was the highest building in the country. Considered by many as having the finest steeple in England. On the grounds of the church, there are many, very old graves.
