Ferry across the Mersey...
Favorite thing: Take a ferry ride over the Mersey River. While we were on the ferry they even played the song "Ferry Across the Mersey"...haha...I'm sure they play that on every trip though... ;)
It is fairly cheap and gives you another view of the city. The three buildings at the dock are really beautiful.

Ferry across the Mersey
Favorite thing: Get the ferry cross the Mersey! :) There is a pier tour every hour which costs about £4.50 with a commentary about Liverpool's history and the development of the docks and the neighbouring town of Birkenhead across the river from Liverpool.
When I was on the ferry, there was a film crew on board for Liverpool tourism, so you might see me in the background with the baseball cap surrounding by 3 screeching kids (they're not with me!)
Fondest memory: Look at that view :) Taken from the back of the Mersey Ferry
The Mersey Ferry
Favorite thing: The Mersey Ferry links Liverpool with the neighbouring city of Birkenhead, across the river on the Wirral peninsula. Nowadays you can either simply cross the river or take a 'Mersey Cruise', which travels along the famous waterfront and docks and which has a commentary. The Mersey Ferry is made famous by the Gerry and The Pacemakers song 'Ferry Across The Mersey' and your ears will be assailed by this song when take one of these little trips!

Favorite thing: Visit Aintree. This leafy suburb is great for shopping,it has a giant retail store,it has a lot of friendly pubs, fine restaurants,a motor racing circuit and of course there is the world famous Aintree race course where the Grand National race is held Also take a trip on the Mersey Ferry, you can visit The Wirrall from Liverpool.
visit the Pierhead which is...
Favorite thing: visit the Pierhead which is one of the finest waterfront locations anywhere in the United Kingdom It is really best seen from the sea and you can get views from the Mersey Ferry. Three superb buildings give the stunning visual appearance, viz, the Cunard,Mersey Harbour Board and the Royal Liver Birds buildings. Another building that I love is the Roman Catholic Cathedral on Mount Pleasant which is an ultra modern building. Some Liverpool wags refer to it as 'Paddy's Wigram'.For absolute ornate elegance the India arcade is top of the list-its marvellous. Then there is that splendid Liverpool insitution the Adelphi Hotel.
Fondest memory: The people of Liverpool are friendly, entertaining and witty. They extend a warm welcome to tourists and are used to visitors from around the world as Liverpool is a very cosmopolitan city.
