Football - Anfield & Goodison, Liverpool
Visiting the Beatles museum. It doesn´t matter if you consider them the best musical band ever or simply like to hum their tunes, or even if you´re simply interested in knowing more about the decade that changed the world and a big part iof it started here in this really cool city.
Fondest memory: Besides the Beatles museum, I had a great time going to the Cavern and seeing how local upcoming bands have a place to kick off their musical careerss... great vibe.
Take in the unique atmosphere of Anfield if you can get tickets. You'll be hooked for life. You can also take a tour of the clubs museum for a small fee (not on match days) and see the many trophies that the club has won including those very special 5 European Cups.
Fondest memory: The people!
Favorite thing: This is a photo of the front gates of the Anfield stadium...the home of Liverpool Football Club... Imagine the stress when we found these gates closed on our arrival...argh! ;) Luckily the next set of gates were open...
If you like (or LOVE) the LFC then I'd recommend you do the Anfield Tour.
On the tour of Anfield you will look around the stadium and go inside the locker room among other places...
We caught a bus from the centre of town, it was cheap and very easy to work out. The locals on the bus were very helpful too and told us exactly where to get out etc. :)
LIVERPOOL LIVERPOOL LIVERPOOL...
Fondest memory: Here's an image of Liverpool's UEFA Cup celebrations. Not a good quality picture since it's a snapshot from my TV. There were nearly half a million people cheering for Liverpool.
If you are a soccer (I mean 'football') fan and love LFC then check out the supporters shop at Anfield... You will find all sorts of things from pens to bed spreads to team photos...
Warning for partners of LFC fans - be prepared to come home with LOTS of LFC stuff...haha...
Fondest memory: Season 2001 was memorable for the 5 trophies won by Liverpool, I wander what 2003 will bring. OK, forget 2003 roll on 2004
