by hayward68 Bring any combination of clothing that will go from cool, cloudy weather to bright sunshine. We had both on the trip to Liverpool. The trip to Wales required hiking boots and appropriate attire for climbing mountains. Raingear is also essential for those times when the skies open up above you :-S
A good zoom lens to try and get a pic of those Liver Birds!
Bring along a friend (Sandy) who knows the area and can show you the sights! Leave a Comment

Take your warm jacket! It can be very cold, with a biting wind coming straight in off the Mersey. Travelling from Chester, less than an hour's train journey away, I quickly learned that it was always a good few degrees colder when you got off the train! So don't forget to wrap up warm!! Rain gear for sure! I was there for 3 weeks and the only day it didn't rain, it snowed. Your umbrella better be a good one as I personally experienced wind gusts of 90 miles per hour on the western Wales coast. Leave a Comment

BACKPACKS ARE GOOD, BUT SUITCSES WORK AS WELL.
WARM CLOTHING AND AN UMBRELLA. IN SUMMER BRING SOME SUMMER CLOTHES AS WELL. Leave a Comment

Warm clothes. And an umbrella. And a raincoat. And a backup umbrella for when someone steals your first one.
Usual stuff.
Film and cameras are comparable to at home, so don't worry if you need to buy stuff there. Be careful with expensive camera equipment, though. First, keep an eye on it. Second, try to keep it dry. Leave a Comment

Waterproof clothing is essential, not quite as bad as Manchester, but Liverpool does have its fair share of rain. Plus you get that ever changing weather. If you step out in shorts and t shirt it's guaranteed to rain within 20 minutes!!! Leave a Comment
