Anfield by dixonchan This is a must for all die-hard Liverpool fans. Oh well... this is the main reason why I stopover at Liverpool during my London stay. The stadium tour costs 9 pounds and departs hourly. You'll get to see the dressing room, the player's tunnel and of couse the stadium view. The 68 and 168 which operate between Bootle and Aigburth and the 14 (from Queen Square) and 19 stop a short walk away.Website: www.liverpooltv.fc

by deeper_blue The city of Liverpool has two football teams (both in the Premier League) Liverpool and Everton. Liverpool FC is historically the most successful team in England and current champions of Europe after beating Milan on penalties, and together with Everton they dominated the top division in the 1980's. With the legendary Kenny Dalgish, Gary Lineker, John Barnes and co. The current heroes include Harry Kewell, Steven Gerard and Alan Stubbs. If ever there was an English football club with justification for having a museum, its got to be Liverpool FC. Like most great clubs, it's had its share of top class players, but what makes the Reds stand apart from the others is a record of trophy winning second-to-none, made all the better since the arrival of Rafa Benitez and the unforgettable Champions League triumph of 2005. For me, the museum is second to non and houses all the trophies Liverpool Football Club have ever won. Including the Champions League trophy from the 2004/2005 season. It also has two cinemas, one showing the heriocs of last season in the Champions League Final and the other showing the history of Liverpool Football Club and the famous Spion Kop. It also has a piece of the famous Kop to stand on whilst watching this footage. The stadium tour allows you behind the scenes at Anfield, offering the chance to visit the dressing room, walk down the tunnel to the sound of 45,000 cheering fans, touch the famous 'This Is Anfield' sign and sit in the team dugout. The tour guides are really knowledgable and enthusiastic and there will be lots of opportunities to take some fantastic pictures! The stadium tour takes around 45 minutes to complete and then you can spend as long as you want in the museum. Price for the stadium tour is £9 and museum is about £5. Please see the link to the website for up to date prices. When I visited we were told we could only go to the museum as the tour was fully booked. I managed to get our names down on the reserve list and we managed to get a place on the next tour. This resulted in us paying a little more as I think you pay a combined price usually if you book in advance for both the tour and museum. With plans for a new stadium well advanced this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit this historical ground. In addition to gazing at no less than five European trophies you can touch the famous sign and sit in the manager’s dugout Address: Anfield Road Liverpool L4 0THPhone: 0151- 260-2361Directions: Anfield is located about six miles from the city centre. by J_P_B Owen, Heskey, Riise, Gerrard, Hamaan, Murphy, Babbel, Hyypia, Henchoz, Carragher and Dudek - need I say any more? OK, how about Litmanen, Diouf, Berger, Smicer, Cheyrou, Diao, Xavier, Wright, Heggem, Vignal, Diarra, Kirkland. The most successful English football team is Liverpool FC, forget Man Ure, as the saying goes, there are reds and there are Mighty Reds. Catch a football (soccer) game at the historic Anfield stadium if you're there anytime between August and May. Its definitely a Liverpudlian experience. Even non-soccer fans will appreciate the intensity of the stadium atmosphere. Plus watch one of the world's most famous football clubs in action. Leave a Comment Address: Anfield

Anfield Across Stanely Park by DUNK67 Take a trip to Anfield to watch Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool are one of the most famous and successful clubs in the world winning several trophies. On the 8th September 2001 I travelled to Anfield and watched the mighty Aston Villa beat Liverpool 3-1 , this was only the second time that I have seen Villa win at Anfield. Leave a Comment
