Would have loved to take a ride at once. But I think it's quite expensive! This is waiting in front of Anfield, guess the guest just stopped for some more shopping in the great store here! I want a Didi Hamann shirt! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Liverpool has good rail connections. The main line station at Lime Street has a link to the underground and local Merseyrail service. The Liverpool Loop trains call at Lime Street, Central (for the main shops), Moorfieds (more the business area) and James Street (handy for the Docks). It only takes 30 mins from my hometown on the Merseyrail service. A local saver ticket means you can travel on the buses trains and on the ferry during off peak times - ask at the station for details. Theme: Train

Lime Street Station is the bigger of the two rail stations in Liverpool, and a very pleasant place in its own right. We came into Lime Street from central England, then walked the 20-minute stroll to our hotel on Albert Dock. A taxi would be easier if you are loaded down, and would probably only take about five minutes. Frequent trains run out of Liverpool in all directions, so it's an easy connection, especially from Wales, Machester, or the Lakes. I would not drive in Liverpool...many streets are narrow (this is Britain, after all!) and twisty, and I would get easily turned around here in a car. Who am I kidding, I got completely turned around on foot several times in the central downtown area. :) Leave a Comment Theme: Train
