There are some beautiful stained glass motifs in the Hall - many are of the shields of the family but some are biblical scenes like this one of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.

On the fron of the Hall there are some more intricate details on the gables - just look at those gothic heads and fancy fretwork.
In front of the Hall just beyond the lawn is this sunken lane. Adelaide Watt had this road designed this way so that any passing carriages would not spoil her view!
There's a trail around the estate - only a short one of a mile or so. If the weather is clear there are some fine views of the Mersey estuary and the welsh hills beyond.
Here's a view of the shaded courtyard with its cobbledstone ground and central tree. A most delightful innner courtyard and here you can really appreciate how wonky these old walls are!
