A very good cafe near the post office selling a wide variety of food. Very busy at peak times but the staff are well organised and queues clear quickly.
There are two inside rooms and tables in the garden at the rear. Entry to the garden is via a narrow passage to the left of the building or through the front door to the main cafe.
Favorite Dish: The scones with cream and jam were very good.

This is the pub used only in outside scenes in the Heartbeat series. It is really called the Goathland Hotel.
It does serve meals, and children are welcome. We went in but the menu was not very extensive and having our son with us, who is the most awkward when it comes to eating out, we ended up only having a drink there.
