By plane to Harrogate (via Leeds/Bradford)
Of course, Harrogate has no international airport but it is very close to Leeds/Bradford Airport. Ryanair and Jet2 offer a wide range of European destinations, KLM and British Airways have Leeds/Bradford linked to their international network. Though Manchester Airport has a wider choice of destinations, you'll have to change trains at Leeds.
Bus line 737 connects the city to Leeds/Bradford airport roughly every hour from 6 am to 9 pm. Tickets for 5 GBP single / 8 GBP return(2012) are available from the driver. The bus ride takes 30 minutes. The bus stop in Harrogate is located next to the railway station.
Some years ago, the Harrogate service was linked to the Bradford service and is now run by a single Harrogate-Airport-Bradford – line. If you are familiar with the old designations, do not start to look for the 767 bus. That service does not run any more.
Getting to Harrogate by train
Harrogate is easy to get to by train from either Leeds or York (both main-line stations). You rarely have to wait longer than 30 minutes to an hour between trains (depending on the time of day of course!).
