Yorkshire being a famous TV location, there are shops in many places selling mugs, stationery, pins, cuddly toys, biography books and much more from the many TV series shot here such as "All Creatures...", "Emmerdale" and "Heartbeat". Amongst more well stocked places is the Yorkshire TV shop in Coppergate in York and a shop along the main street in Whitby's old town but of course the shop in Goathlands is also an obvious Heartbeat place and the Dales are full of Herriot books and films.

In a county with sheep everywhere, woollen clothes are of course an obvious souvenir. Swaledale Woollens (picture) in Muker is a great upmarket alternative but there are lots of bargains to be had in most towns and villages.
