Corby makes a good centre for visiting some of the stately homes and castles of Northamptonshire - Kirby Hall, Rockingham Castle, Boughton House, and others are all within an easy drive of Corby, with Burghley House and Belvoir Castle being a slightly longer drive away.

This is located in a very pretty village called Geddington, which has one of the only three remaining Eleanor Crosses. The pub is a real local one. People obviously go there for the food 'cos there is a very good menu catering to all tastes and the portions are very generous, as well as being very tasty. There is also a good choice of beers and ales, as well as wines and so on. It's a good place to have lunch before going on to Boughton House.

Favorite Dish: We didn't have it but the "cheesey chips" looked lovely!!

As the name implies the menu offers Thai, Malaysian, Korean and Chinese food. We went to this restaurant when our original choice turned out to be less than ideal. From a rather unprepossessing exterior, we were made welcome. We weren't expecting anything other than your usual Chinese food but it turned out to be far superior to any that I have eaten in the UK. Everything arrived hot and was delicious. Service was efficient but not over-whelming - only negative is that as soon as we sat down we were asked what we wanted to drink, rather than being given a chance to study the menu. Only cutlery is chopsticks but I think they would provide knives and forks if asked. Lots of off-road parking.
