Wellingborough farmers market is not the biggest market but it does have a good selection of produce from fresh fruit and vegetables, breads and cheeses, meats and pickles, and plants. The stall holders are friendly and their produce is good quality..

What to pay: Prices vary from stall to stall but fruit and veg are cheaper that the supermarkets, some are a bit more expensive but I dont mind paying a bit more for something that you cant get in the supermakets.

A Typical 7 Seater Black Wheelchair Hackney Cab

Vistors new and old - Hackney carraiges (the ones that you can flag down) are are either Yellow or Black. All prices are are meter based although you may ask the driver for a fixed fare, it will be up to him to agree a fare. Hackney carrages can be found waiting at the Railway station or the taxi rank on the Market Square near the Hind Hotel & Mcdonalds
95% of all the black cabs are wheelchair accessable and they should not charge extra for carrying one. All the cabs will show a white plate on the rear of the vehicle to show its properly licensed and the driver will wear a badge to show he is approved. Not all vehicles are sign written so dont panic.

For a journey with a fixed fare please ring and book a Private hire this way you can get a price quote first, again the driver should be wearing a badge and the plate on the rear of the vehicle should be yellow. Don't take excuses of either of these are missing dont get in and report to somebody if you feel that you are being harrased to get into a suspicious vehicle.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I would suggest people to bring waterproofs and an umbrella when they come here. The weather is unpredictable all year round.
