Favorite thing: Walking down from the Market Square, you come across the interesting shop called "Irony" where you can purchase all sorts of gear suitable for your fireplace, not to mention equipment for horses and gardens.

Favorite thing: A striking arrangement of buildings in the center of town. This view is through the archway of the Moothall, a fifthteenth century Baliff's hall that was constructed when Hexham was under constant threat of attack from Scotland. Currently there's a small art gallery in the basement of the Moothall.

Favorite thing: A Full Market on Tuesdays, locally produced foodstuffs and crafts on Friday and Saturday - in the Market Square.
