    Cruise the River

Whilst in Henley a river trip is a must with the boats operating on the Regatta waters between Marsh Lock and Hambleden Lock. The trips generally last about 60 minutes and are accompanied by a pre-recorded commentary.

The photo shows the New Orleans which is the largest Passenger vessel on the Upper Thames and is a scaled down version of a Mississippi sternwheeler with tall twin smoke stacks and paddle wheel.

    Getting there by train

Henley is at the end of a branch line from Twyford. Trains to Twyford from London (Paddington) and Reading, then connection. At weekends, trains run once an hour directly from Reading. There are extra trains in Regatta week if you're a glutton for punishment!
