This is where I head when I'm looking for that hard-to-find recording that nowhere else seems to have.
I have to say that Blackwell's Music Shop is simply not what it used to be (is anything?). The shift from vinyl records to CDs has done it no favours. The premises are much reduced in size from what they were 25 years ago, it feels cramped where once you could wander at leisure among the racks, and the stock is considerably less rich and comprehensive than it was. Nevertheless, all things are relative and good music shops are like hen's teeth.
