The Wrekin

The Wrekin is a famous local landmark and a very popular hill to climb. The views from the top are fantastic, you can see the nearby hills of Church Stretton, Caer Caradoc and the Brown Clee hill and further west the hills of Wales. You need to head in the direction of Little Wenlock and follow the signs.
A popular local saying for someone who takes a long time to tell you something obvious is "he went all round the Wrekin before...."

At Telford’s heart, surrounded by tall glossy buildings, is the biggest and best shopping centre in all of Shopaholic Shropshire. Open seven days a week, with parking for over 4000 cars all geared up for a family day out.

Telford is geared for children - the 450 acre Telford Town Park includes Wonderland where nursery rhymes and fairy stories come to life. There's Telford Ski Centre and nearby is Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom - sheep steeplechase, a maze and tractor grand prix. The Telford Steam Railway steam and diesel rides and a model railway.

There’s the Toy Box Creche for the offspring, so you can relax until it’s time to pick them up when you’ve finished shopping. And then you can explore the 450-acre Telford Town Park and watch nursery rhymes and fairy stories come alive in Wonderland. Older charges may prefer scaling the ariel walkways, rope ladders and slides.

We have a super Ice Rink too and a ten-screen cinema, just a few minutes walk from the shopping malls. Cafes, restaurants and hotels allow you a chance to take the weight off your feet.
