Pharmacy shop, Bath by suvanki An old traditional style pharmacists shop. The window is packed full of goods from a byegone age. Cut throat razors and sharpening strips, badger shaving brushes, bristle hair brushes, colognes, soaps etc. The shop is run by a friendly Indian family. Inside, the shop is crammed full of toiletries and pharmaceuticals. The shelving and cupboards are traditional, with glass apothacary jars etc. Old fashioned colognes and bath products are prominant, with a some more modern familiar names.

Hamstead Bazaar, Bath by suvanki Well, I only pressed my nose upto the window, and would have loved to have ventured inside. My visa card was twitching, but my sensible head was imagining the letters my bank manager would have taken delight in sending me!!!! Some lovely clothes and accessories in the window. Also lots of press cuttings/photos of celebreties wearing clothes from this shop. Apparently its a favourite retail therapy post for Dame Judy Dench, who buys a few outfits whenever she's in the vicinity. Their leather belts are also regularly featured in the glossies, worn by Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss etc. Besides clothes and belts, there are some great necklets etc.

by jo104 This shop caught my eye as its such an unusual gift idea. What you do is purchase one of the many attractive bottles they have in store (even a shoe for the ladies), then select what you wish to fill it with be it oil, vinegar or liqueur. When the product has run out you can take your bottle back to the store & refill it. Leave a Comment

This is quite an incredible shop, everything is made from recyclable waste and it is a splurge of colours as you walk in the shop. Juice pack pencil case, bubble wrap bags, recycled paper, glass jewellery etc. I bought some little painted papermache varnished containers to put earrings in. I believe strongly in recycling and this shop aims to make people more aware to make the earth more green so do support them. Leave a Comment

While strolling the main stopping district in Bath we came upon a store which had the most mouth watering pieces of brightly colored and oddly shaped candies and sweets in its window. Upon closer inspection, the candies turned out to be soaps...big chunks of soap... of all kinds of colors and descriptions. Mrs. Birchy was beside herself. Birchy was bored out of his skull after about five minutes of browsing. Anyway, we came away with a suitcase full of soaps which we transported across the Atlantic. Then we find out there are Lush stores in America, too
Bath soaps of all descriptions...fizzing bath soaps, oils, lotions... all with the most imaginative names
Can't remember, but to Mrs. B cost was no object. Leave a Comment

by JuliaK The whole market of Bath is very special. On our first visit we were so impressed that there were more shops than in Bristol... well at least more interesting to go and visit. Full of tourists but not overcrowded all the shops provide you with the cosiness that a small town can. Bath's market is very special as you can see from the picture!! all this small shops and alleys are so exiting for me!!
You can buy from a needle to the best designer dress that you have seen on the months magazine.
Prices vary.. from the most cheap piece of garment to the most expensive car! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Shopping area by grandmaR When we got off the bus, we tried to find something to eat in the mall by the bus station. Eventually ended up at McDonalds because we were really hungry, and didn't want to look for a restaurant any more. There were all kinds of shops in this area. The Guild Hall is an indoor market and very interesting to wander around and the market is housed in a beautiful building. The market has been established since 1284.
For fresh produce the Guild Hall is recommended as it has a market selling speciality teas, wild boar pate, fresh fruit and veg. Also craft stalls, leather goods, books and pet stalls are also on sale.
Ranging from the cheap to the expensive depending on what is purchased i.e. speciality foods may be more expensive but some of the crafts are on the cheaper side. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: High Street, Bath, BA2 9EQPhone: 01225 477793Directions: Central Bath
