Boating under Pulteney Bridge by pedersdottir From April to September, visitors to Bath can enjoy views of the city from the deck of an open topped riverboat. At Pulteney Bridge take the steps down to the waterway and hop aboard. Tours take approx. one hour. On the return, stop at the Riverfront cafe terrace for a coffee break. Walking back to the town from a game of football in the park we spotted a mini-golf course. Of course this meant that we had to have a game. Cue lots of laughter and probably the best spent £4 of the weekend. I managed to bag second place, succeeding in not loosing to a girl - not a fate that was shared by my friend. He wasn't even close ;) At least he got a hole-in-one though. Theme: GolfingAddress: Victoria Park, Bath

If you're in or around Bath between August and March, stop by the pitch to catch an exciting rugby match! Rugby was invented in Rugby, England in 1832 by William Webb Ellis, a young student at Rugby School who picked up a football (soccer ball) and ran with it in his hands to score. Rugby is a sport at the heart of Bath, a sport that somewhat defines the town. Bath Rugby Football Club has been in existence since the late 19th century, and today the team boasts top spot in several national league championships. For newcomers to the game, rugby is a cross between American football and soccer. Unlike American football, players do not wear pads or helmets and play does not end with a tackle, making rugby an extremely fast-paced and thrilling game. So, like I said, if you're lucky enough to be in Bath during rugby season, be sure to catch a home match!
Support the team with an official Cotton Traders jersey from Just Rugby or The Bath Rugby Shop, both located in the shopping centres in town.
