We noticed a couple of people doing this at Cheddar Gorge.The perfect place for this sport, with its sheer cliffs and overhangs, we could see why it's so popular! There are good places to park along the way at the gorge, there are restaurants for nourishment after a hard few hours abseiling. The abseiling club has all you need, bring necessary trainers and clothing.
This is more a sport tip for dogs!Berrow beach seems to be the place to park your car (on), and take your dog, throw frisbees and listen to music (never mind how loud it is). This poor little dog has a companion, and they were on a lead, and popped in the boot of the car, with a blanket over them. In their case, their owner (who himself never ventured more than a metre from the car) wasnt their for their exercise.But many people let their dogs loose and free on the beach for exercise. We didn't, uh, walk on the beach...(not our favourite beach you might have realised!)
