This historic 200 year old canal was previously part of the Wyrley and Essington Canal and is in the early stages of restoration by the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust. It is a very favourire place for locals. I didn’t see boat riding in this canal but I have been told that boat riding is common here.

The history of Lichfield Cathedral goes back to seventh century. It is the only medieval Cathedral with three spires. Its Close is one of the most complete in the country and includes a medieval courtyard which once housed the men of the choir. The building contains a number of treasures

This building has become a very attractive place for tourists.
