When night falls, Stoke becomes a ghost town or looks somewhat like one rather. During the weekends, parts of Hanley is crowded with yobs and tarts trying to get into the clubs to get drunk. Enjoy your night out!

The sugarmill is a lifesaver if you like indie/alternative/rock music. Unfortunately a lot of clubs in Stoke are dedicated to the evil god of dodgy pop/chart music. However if you enjoy listening and dancing to music with a little more depth, the sugarmill is a great place to do so. The crowd are young, friendly, a mix of students and locals. Friday nights are more indie, saturdays more rock. there's a thriving alternative music scene in stoke and this is the best place to experience it.
Dress Code: the website says 'if you are smart enough for everywhere else, you are too smart for the sugarmill'!
