Shopping Malls: Ipswich

by kevin36

The Shops in general are very good and modern in Ipswich Town,All the usual shops are to be found Debenhams, M&S .Next, burtons, Dixon's etc to name a few.You have the main street and also Tower Ramparts and The Buttermarket. It will take you approx 45mins -1hr depending on day and traffic. Anything you like,on the outskirts of Ipswich are various Super Stores. However two things I would recommend if going to Ipswich is: Use the park and ride at Martlesham Round a bout, Second: is if your looking for somewhere to eat while shopping, try the Eastern Ocean Chinese restaurant, they do a great eat as much as you like buffet, which has various types of meals from soup to sweet including your main meal, vegetarians will also not be disappointed as they cater for you too. Park and Ride £3:50 including up to four passengers.(Martlesham)Chinese £6:99 not bad for a three course.(Queen Street...

Fournel: Amber Fantastic

by kevin36

The Amber Shop in Aldeburgh, in association with its other shop in Southwold is the largest and oldest amber retailer in Great Britain, having specialised in polishing and shaping amber for 150 years. The display of over 1,000 necklets, brooches, earrings and exotic jewellery is an absolute must to see by every visitor to the Suffolk coast. Amber is found on the shoreline of Suffolk's coast and the purchase of a piece of amber jewellery will be a permanent reminder of your happy holiday on the Suffolk Coast. I have to admit im not one for Jewellery, however after seeing some of the items in this shop, they are outstanding.Very modern and up to date (chic) anything from watches to necklaces.Ambers diamonds you name it they have it.Well worth a look inside, the shop staff are very welcoming and friendly. depends on what you buy?

Henry Watsons Pottery: pottery

by margaretvn

Henry Watson's Potteries is an old family run company dating back more than 200 years. The pottery was founded by Thomas Watson and is now run by the sixth generation of the family. The retail shop has a large collection of kitchenware, gifts and garden pots. I love the softly coloured terracotta colour of the original Suffolk collection. In the cottage we had hired for our holiday in Suffolk the dinner service and kitchenware was from the pottery and this led us to visit the shop. opening hours:monday to saturday: 9.30 to 5.00sunday (April to Aug) 11.00 to 5.00sunday (September to March) 10.00 to 4.00 Mugs, cups, serving dishes in a variety of colours or the Suffolk collections soft colours.
