Weybridge Things to Do
It seems that this is one of the few remaining Concorde in the UK. This is quite important, especially as about 30% of each Concorde's frame superstructure was made on site here at Brooklands. There is an additional fee of £4.00 charged to be given a talk and a tour of the aircraft itself. I have to say that I have never been a great fan of this...more

If you have read my other tips on Weybridge, you will know that I had followed a "trail" from St. James Church and the grave of the one time Duchess of York, to the memorial to her situated on the aptly named Monument Green. I was wandering about, trying to take a photo in the failing light when I was approached by a friendly elderly gentleman out...more
If you have read my other tips on Weybridge, you will have seen that I visited the parish Church of St. James and the grave site of the delightfully named Frederica Charlotta Ulrica Catherina, one time Duchess of York and local benefactress, departed this life in 1820 at the nearby Oatlands Park.I had been told that there was a monument to her,...more

1907 Restaurant, Bar and Grill: Brooklands Dining
Staying in the hotel somewhat limits where you can eat. There is nothing very much nearby, thus eating in the 1907 makes sense. The staff were young and busy; I had made a reservation and sadly they had lost it. I did get a table within a few minutes.
The restaurant was warm and bright. The staff did seem to change from course to course.
They do offer dining for large groups as well as small numbers of residents.
Favorite Dish: I enjoyed the burger. The fries were not so good. The coffee was hot and string.
