Royal Albert Hall

by cleocat

The ultimate is to attend a concert here but just seeing it from the outside is already an amazing experience. Exceptional architecture and majestic. There are tours of the theatre but you will have to contact them first to find out the times.

Tip Photo
Go to the Theatre

by cleocat

You cannot go to London without visiting the theatre at least once. Some last minute and other discounted tickets can be found on the internet and all over London. The problem is the choice. There will be tons of must see shows and your biggest problem will be to decide which one to see.Make that choice and go.

Take a boat trip to Greenwich

by cleocat

Nice Sunday afternoon outing. Greenwich has a very unique character of it's own. There are various nice restaurants and the Christmas market is quite stunning if you are there around Christmas time. It is extremely busy so if you get irritated in crowded places it might not be for you.

Tip Photo
Newcastle upon Tyne

by sabsi

My new favourite city in England!! Lots of bridges, great views, a wonderful art museum, beautiful buildings, great shopping make the city in the North East of England a place I'd love to live in. See more about Newcastle on my Newcastle upon Tyne page!

Tip Photo
Liverpool

by sabsi

Liverpool is the home town of the Beatles - it's probably the "Fab Four" everybody thinks of when hearing the word Liverpool! But it is also a very interesting city in the west of England and it used to be an important port. The city is full with interesting art, architecture and atmosphere. There's alos a great chinatown here. I loved Liverpool and can't wait until I can go again! See more about this city which made it into my "top ten cities of all times" on my Liverpool page!

Tip Photo
Lake District

by sabsi

A lot of people claim that the Lake District is the most scenic area of England. And I think they might be right. I recently spent two beautiful days in the Lake District with Steve and Susan. We were lucky, these two days were the warmest April days for at least 1000 years. The Lake District consists of beautiful lakes, the highest hills (ok, mountains ;) of England, great places for walks and picnics, lovely little villages and thousands of sheep, pubs and outdoor shops to entertain the tourists.See more about the Lake District on my Lake District National Park page.

Tip Photo
York

by sabsi

York is a beautiful walled city in the north of England. There's a lot of old buildings and streets full of lovely shops here. The most famous landmark is York Minster - the most beautiful church I have ever seen! The walk around the city on the walls is a fantastic way to see the city. Read more about York on my York page (soon!).

Tip Photo
Chester

by sabsi

Chester is a nice little town not far from Manchester or Liverpool. It's main attractions are the full circle city walls and the beautiful shopping streets with the famous black and white "Rows". It's also a nice place for shopping. Read more about this black and white beauty on my Chester page.

Tip Photo
London

by sabsi

Capital of the United Kingdom, something like 7 million people, the oldest underground system in Europe, many gorgeous buildings and famous sights, lots to do, great nightlife and great shopping - that's London!Read more about this wonderful city on my London page.

Tip Photo
Whitby

by sabsi

Whitby is a little seaside town in the North East of England. It's the first seaside town in England that I have been to and it was exactly the way I expected it to be: There are gambling halls and candy floss is sold everywhere - and the whole place smelled of Fish & Chips! There's a beautiful old town here as well as a wide sandy beach. Read more about Whitby on my Whitby page.
