From the nearby junction with the Worcester canal at Kings Norton, Birmingham the Stratford-on-Avon canal runs through Solihull Lodge and Shirley on to Earlswood and Hockley Heath to Stratford. It joins the River Avon via lock gates.
The path is walkable although in wet weather there are some muddy places. During summer the walk is easy and there are a few villages and pubs along the way which serve refreshments and meals.
Walk along the canal
The Stratford-on-Avon canal runs from Birmingham, through my part of Solihull, to Stratford.
The path is good for most of th eway and can easily be walked or cycled-along.
